Osteosarcoma induced in T-stock x (C3H/He El x 102) F1 test crossed mice following injection with Thorium 227. T stock is an outbred line with 7 selected homozygote loci. See Russel et. al. (1996) Proc Natl. Acad Sci. 93, 13072-13077. The tumour appeared in the distal part of the femur and shows formation of neoplastic osteoid that resembles trabecular structures. Atypical osteoblasts with pleomorphic nuclei are also present.
